High School Pre-Apprenticeship Program – Destinations Career Academy

High school students in grades 9-12 can learn what it takes to become an Operating Engineer when they enroll in Destinations Career Academy’s Pre-apprenticeship Program. It gives an introduction to the profession and prepares students to enter an apprenticeship training program to become a journeyman operating engineer in the construction industry.

Operating Engineers work as heavy equipment operators, mechanics, or surveyors. They work with a variety of construction equipment such as cranes, bulldozers, excavators, forklifts, front end loaders, and backhoes.

Here’s how to enroll:

Step 1: Complete an online application
before April 28, 2017.

Step 2: Once approved complete the online enrollment process on the Parent Portal. (The link and instructions to enroll will be included in your acceptance letter.)

DCA is a public online charter school in Wisconsin that offers a pre-apprenticeship program in partnership with Wisconsin Operating Engineers. Earn high school and Technical College credits and complete required apprenticeship classes while in high school.
