Local 139 hosts retiree groups throughout Wisconsin. Retiree groups gather for monthly meetings, bus tours, casino trips, as well as breakfast, lunch, and dinner outings.
In addition to retiree group events, there are also events open to ALL Local 139 members, retired and active. Monthly district and sub-district member meetings are for active and retired members of IUOE Local 139 and are a chance to get the news affecting your union and ask questions or make suggestions to union leadership. Meeting attendees enjoy raffle prizes, news, project updates, and the chance to talk to other operating engineers. You can also attend annual union events like the annual golf outing, the annual picnic, and holiday parties as an attendee or volunteer. We could always use a hand. There may also be volunteer opportunities for political action events that support labor and your union. Talk to your retiree group for news regarding these volunteer activities.
Local 139 wants you to make your retirement all it can be.
Consider joining your Local 139 brothers and sisters at the multitude of activities across the state.
Share stories. Make some new friends. Reconnect with your work buddies. Make memories.
Refer to our online calendar for all upcoming events.
