Hogs for Heroes is handing out keys as fast as possible to return injured Wisconsin Veteran riders back to The Road! With a Harley-Davidson as the tool to assist in their healing, the Hogs for Heroes gift returns the therapeutic benefits of riding, a passion, and the supportive camaraderie of the rider community. Hogs for Heroes created this WI-only nonprofit with the goal of gifting one Harley a year, thereby changing one life a year. This gifting marks the 35th injured WI Veteran that Hogs For Heroes has supported in their seventh year of returning freedom to those who fought for ours. This bike will roll out with full sponsorship credit to Wisconsin’s International Union of Operating Engineers Local 139, making this the fifth Harley and Veteran pairing Local 139 has made possible.
Bring friends—two wheels or four, rain or shine! We’ll be hanging out— ready to tell you more about Hogs for Heroes’ unique work, reconnect with friends, and will “take the stage” promptly at 12:00 to hand over keys to the beautiful Harley Corporal Derek Gagne chose. Trust us. You do not want to miss this emotional and patriotic moment that honors this two-time Purple Heart and Bronze Star Medal Recipient and supports his ongoing journey with the gift of wind therapy.
Hogs For Heroes is a 501(c)(3) Wisconsin-only nonprofit that raises funds to buy Harleys for injured Wisconsin Veteran riders whose healing would benefit from returning to motorcycling. Each gifting is fueled simply by donations…and 100% of every dollar donated buys nothing but a motorcycle for the next Bike & Veteran pairing. Learn more about Hogs for Heroes.
