Engineer of the Year Nomination

Since 1971, Local 139 proudly has presented an Engineer of the Year Award annually to one member from each of the union’s four districts.

This award is not intended to recognize the most highly skilled operators. Rather, it honors those who have best represented organized labor, Local 139, and its membership during the calendar
year in which the award is given. 

ELIGIBILITY
Only members in good standing are considered for this award. Apprentices will receive consideration for prompt fulfillment of apprenticeship duties.

Dues history
Community activities

NOMINATION DEADLINE
Only nominations received or postmarked by August 1 will be accepted. Winners will be selected by a majority vote of the Executive Board at the meeting held in October.

AWARD DATE
Recipients will receive the award at the 2026 holiday meeting of their choice.
